Speed Sound Virtual Classroom
There are three sets of sounds that your child will learn throughout the programme. Starting with single letter sounds, then two or three letter sounds known as ‘special friends’.

Fred Games – oral blending
Below are some examples of ‘Fred Games’. This technique can be used in lots of different ways to help your child listen to sounds and blend orally.
Word Time – learning to blend
Use these videos to help practice blending words at home. They teach the children the process of ‘Fred Talk, Read the Word’.
Reading with your child
Reading at home with your child is vital, both to accelerate learning and develop other integral skills such as empathy, understanding and respect.
