In the event of a child/staff member testing positive at our school.

I wanted to let you know what would happen in the event of a child testing positive at our school.

  • The identity of the child will remain confidential.
  • All parents/carers will receive a message saying a case has been identified in the school. It is important we are transparent about this. This will also be posted on our Twitter feed.
  • All pupils who need to self isolate as a result of this will be informed by text message to parents/carers. Please be aware this message could come late in the evening or early morning. You may also receive separate notification from the track and trace team in terms of contact outside school.
  • This will be followed up with information about work to be completed at home for those required to self isolate.
