Great news! Thanks to all your amazing sponsorship along with some very generous sponsorship from local businesses we have raised enough money to go ahead with our colour run for the whole school! Well done everyone and thank you so much for your support.
Now to the event itself…..
The junior and rainbow room colour run will be held on Wednesday 21st May, starting at 1:15pm on the school field.
The infants colour run will be held on Thursday 22nd May, starting at 1:30pm on the school field.
As well as the main event there will be games for the children, Mr Preston and a mystery person will be in the stocks (wet sponges will be at the ready to give them a soaking), there will be photo opportunities and of course the usual sweets and refreshments for sale.
Parents, grandparents and guardians are very welcome and in fact are encouraged as we are hoping it will be lots of fun for everyone.
If you would like your child to take part you must complete the consent form which will be put on parent pay in the next couple of days. Without this we cannot allow your child to participate.
On the day your child will need to wear old clothes and old shoes which you are happy to get covered in coloured powder (ideally a white t-shirt or polo top as this will show up the colours best). The school and PTA will not be held responsible for any damage to shoes or clothing. You may also want to give your child googles or glasses to wear during the run to protect their eyes but there will be wash stations set up.
The children will complete an assault course where they will be squirted with water and have the coloured powder thrown at them. For information on the ingredients of the powder please see the following website:
It is the parent/guardians responsibility to check the ingredients for any allergies and decide if you are comfortable with them participating.
