This project has seen us working closely with our new friends at Creunant Primary. The aim of the project is to engage, enthuse and inspire our pupils in Years 5 & 6 through rugby and literacy skills. The children have been creating trailers for the big event and on Wednesday 28th March, Craig Withycombe (Producer of Scrum V) brought down his team – Ross Harries, Phil Steel, Richard and GG who taught us the skills of how to create our very own show. Workshops were held in the morning at Gnoll Primary and in the afternoon, the pupils played a rugby match between the two school at Neath RFC (Gnoll Rugby Ground). The pupils were asked to film the game so that a Scrum V could use the footage on their show on the 4th May. Our new friends at Scrum V invited a group of our children up to the BBC studios, Cardiff for the show. What an incredible experience, one which will stay with both staff and pupils for a very long time. Thank you to all who made this possible.
