HALF TERMWhole School Learning Log:
When we return to school on Monday 27th February, we will be celebrating Welsh Week with ‘Dydd Gwyl Dewi/ Saint David’s Day’ on Wednesday 1st March.

Task: Over half term, can you create a 2d or 3d castle or dragon? This will need to be brought into school by Tuesday 28th February where ‘Criw Cymraeg’ will choose the winning entry! Good luck! Pob lwc!

Literacy- Our new sound this week has been ‘sh’.
Can you find some items in your house which begin with the ‘sh’ sound?
In my house, we found a shoe, a shiny coin and a shopping bag!
Numeracy- This week in school we have been finding what everyone’s favorite pancake toppings are and counting the number of people who chose each one! Can you find out how many people like different foods in your house?
In my house, 3 people like strawberries and 1 person likes apples!

The children have all been amazing in ‘Welsh Week’ this week and have really enjoyed our St David’s Day celebrations. In the hall, they sang ‘Mr Hapus’ to the rest of the school. Can you sing this song at home?
10-03-23Our letter sound this week is ‘j’.
 Can you practise saying the sounds? Can you find some objects which begin with the sound ‘j’?
 In my house, we found a jam, a jigsaw and a jug!
 Can you practise writing ‘j’.
Remember to go: Down his body curl and dot!

Numeracy- This week we have been counting moon rocks inspired by the story ‘Whatever Next’.
 
Can you practise counting different items at home? See how high you can count.

Next week we will be exploring walking through the jungle. Can you paint or draw an animal from the jungle? What colours would you use?
