Neath and Port Talbot Apple Regional Training Centre, at Gnoll Primary School, offers educators in the local area the opportunity to learn how Apple technology can make a difference to teaching and learning in the classroom. We will be offering 8 free training courses over the year, all delivered by an Apple Teacher. Please browse through and sign up today!

Apple Regional Training Centres deliver free courses to build the skills and confidence of educators to use Apple technology inside and outside the classroom. They are a community who share best practices and inspire excellence through teaching with Apple technology.

Being selected as an Apple Regional Training Centre highlights our commitment to facilitating training for teachers to develop skills and build confidence to use Apple technology in the classroom.

Apple Regional Training Centres create a community to share best practice and support teaching staff to attain Apple Teacher status, a professional learning programme designed to support and celebrate educators.

Teachers from across the region can attend courses to build their knowledge and skills using technology in the classroom and earn badges to achieve their Apple Teacher recognition.

Across the UK and Ireland, the goals of all Apple Regional Training Centres are to:

  • facilitate training opportunities for teachers to develop skills using Apple technology in the classroom
  • promote Apple in Education and share new products and innovations with educators
  • build Apple Teacher across the region
  • share best practices, build community and inspire excellence.

Get to grips with how to use your iPad as a powerful teaching & learning tool.
This free workshop will include:
(a) iPad orientation tour
(b) hands-on guide to using the built-in tools
(c) A quick look at free Apple apps

Fostering Creativity with iPad

Discover the awesome creative power of the iPad, as we take you through some of the tools that you can use to capture great images and make movies, animations, music and digital sketches. Find out to plan creative workflows in lessons and get the best quality work out of students. We will help you to earn your Apple Teacher  ‘Creativity with iPad’ badge.

Coding with Swift Playground

Playgrounds is a complete coding solution that covers large parts of the computing curriculum for Key stages 1 to3. Find out how to use the Playground app and the teacher tools and resources to help your students learn to code, from simple block code to building apps. This free workshop will also touch upon other coding apps and devices that can be integrated into the curriculum and how to use them. We can help you to earn your Apple Teacher ‘Swift Playgrounds’ badges.
